ITIDA Start IT Program Egypt: Tech Startup Funding
Overview
Egypt's Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre (TIEC), under the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), operates the flagship Start IT incubation program. The 47th round opened in 2026 with significantly increased benefits, providing LE 480,000 in financial and in-kind support (up from LE 180,000) plus doubled AWS support of $10,000 to early-stage tech startups.
Funding and Support Package
The program provides LE 480,000 in combined financial and in-kind benefits, including cash grants, office space, mentorship, and access to TIEC's innovation ecosystem. Amazon Web Services (AWS) support has been doubled to $10,000 in cloud computing credits. Additionally, startups gain access to the revamped Egypt Innovate platform featuring an AI-powered smart assistant, digital startup gallery, intelligent investor matching, and integrated learning hub with specialized training content and virtual simulation experiences.
Eligibility Requirements
The program targets early-stage startups with scalable ICT-based solutions or tech-enabled prototypes. Applicants must demonstrate innovative technology applications, market potential, and team capability. The program is open to Egyptian entrepreneurs and teams with viable tech solutions across various sectors including software, mobile apps, AI, fintech, healthtech, and other ICT-enabled innovations.
Application Process
Applications are submitted through the Egypt Innovate platform at egyptinnovate.com. The 47th round had applications open until May 24, 2026. TIEC evaluates applications based on innovation potential, technical feasibility, market opportunity, and team strength. Selected startups undergo a structured incubation program with milestone-based support and regular progress reviews.
Egypt Innovate Platform
Launched in February 2026, Egypt Innovate is the first fully integrated national platform for innovation and entrepreneurship, developed through a consortium led by Entlaq in partnership with Robusta and Kamelizer. The platform connects startups with investors through advanced analytics, showcases company profiles and investment decks, and provides access to incubators, accelerators, and research centers across Egypt's innovation ecosystem.
