Partners at Pertama operate independently, delivering consulting engagements on a fractional (10-15 hrs/week) or project-based (20-30 hrs/week) basis. You source your own clients OR take referrals from our pipeline. We handle contracting, invoicing, and administrative overhead. You focus on delivery.

What We Look For

  • Senior operator (10+ years experience)

How You Deliver Without Juniors

Traditional consulting requires juniors to do research, drafting, and analysis. We use AI agents for those tasks — Partners handle strategy, client interaction, and QA.

Example Workflow

AI agent:

Market research (50 sources, 2 hours) → Synthesis into structured brief (30 min)

You:

Review findings, add strategic interpretation (2 hours)

Draft client memo (30 min)

Economics: Success-Fee Model

Partners earn a percentage of project fees when milestones are complete and clients pay. No guaranteed income, but higher upside than traditional consulting employment.

Example Scenario

Client project: $150K (delivered over 4 months)

Partner time: ~120 hours

Partner success-fee share: 25% ($37,500)

Effective rate: $312/hour

Risk-sharing: You're not paid until the client pays. But you also don't have the overhead of sourcing, contracting, or collecting.

About the Founder

Michael Hauge founded Pertama after 10 years building LearningLeaders, a communication training firm that worked with 500+ executives at companies like Amazon, Meta, and McKinsey. In 2024, he saw AI disrupting consulting delivery models — and launched Pertama to build an AI-native consulting firm that can deliver senior-level work without junior consultants.
